Coaching Home Page

Welcome to the Coaching area for the Lancashire Aikikai instructors and prospective instructors. The Aikikai believes all its instructors who take classes unsupervised should hold Governing Body coaching awards, be First Aid qualified and hold instructors insurance inline with the governing body's expectation of its members.

Pathway
The Lancashire Aikikai has set out its own procedure that builds in coaching award, CRB checks and other matters. So if you are aspiring to help in a Club start by reading the procedure described on the Pathway page where additional requirements are described and also explains "Assist only" instructor requirements. Before any one teaches, assists or helps they must have permission from the Head of Association in writing.

Coaching
The rest of this page deals with Coaching aspects of the Pathway only.
