October 2009 Bryan Bateman is stepping down. The Executive has decided to appoint Keith Downs to the Treasurer role and Phil Purcell to the membership, insurance and grading secretary/officer roles. It has decided it is in the best interest of the Aikikai now under b) of the constitution this will be subject to ratification and vote at the AGM.
b) The Executive or its Chairman may if an emergency situation arises and it is considered/deemed in the best
interest of the Aikikai make a decision outside its normal operating powers – which will be reported to the next
meeting of the Aikikai.
