M.Mucha. Principal.

The practicing of Aikido has become, for myself, important in many ways. To reach the standards that are now required in Aikido, physical fitness plays a major part and combined with this the knowledge of many exercises to enable me to get to this level.

As there is an improvement in fitness there is slowly a feeling of the techniques getting better. Relaxation being very important and this bringing with it bigger and more flowing movement.

At the same time I find that being able to practice on the knees is especially beneficial to all my Aikido practice and combined with stick and sword this art becomes totally unrestricting.

In my case the benefits have also affected my thinking of life and being able to discipline myself in every aspect of my day-to-day routine.

Ultimately, Aikido is a way of life, to be in harmony with nature, therefore something I must strive for if I wish to continue my practice.
