LANCASHIRE AIKIKAI NEWSLETTER 1986 NO 2 retyped in by Paul Crolla for the Internet

Firstly, I would like to thank everybody who contributed to my course in Italy. It was a very instructive experience. I enjoyed discussing all aspects of aikido with aikidoist from a variety of countries. In spite of Sensei Sato speaking only Japanese and the translation being in Italian I learned through and by observation and vision. Once again, Thank you.

The special course on the 6th of July was not very well attended.

When you only practice in your own clubs after a certain period you can become a little blasé and there is the possibility that you could fall into bad habits. That is why the Sunday courses are necessary, its like a booster injection. It also gives everyone opportunity to meet and practice with someone you have practiced with for a long time or even not met before.

I met Sensei Chiba on Sunday the 10th August. I will discuss that we talked about on the next course Sunday 14th September.

M Mucha

Principal
