Clubmark
Clubmark is an external scheme run on behalf of Sport England that seek to accreditate clubs that reach the required standards. The scheme for Aikido is operated by the BAB our governing body.
Benefits as well as the obivious one of people being aware that the club has met national standards and that it is properly run will find doors are open for grant application and that privlege can ensue if you operate in Local Authority premises both regarding publicity and financial.
Standards cover a number of headings and these are shown to the right. What a club has to do is work through a template of the standards indicating what the evidence is it would use to prove that they met the standard and to provide it. Its very much in the lines if producing a portfolio of evidence as you do for NVQ qualifications.
Reaching the standard doesn't mean its all over you need to maintain the standards and there are yearly follow ups.
