Ribby Hall - Aikikai - Training weekend

28th February to 2nd March 2014

If you have been to the Ribby course before, you will know what a good weekend it is. This will be our 10th year at Ribby and to celebrate we have a bumper package for you.

  •  Bob Spence Sensei - the Principal of the Lancashire Aikikai will teach all classes on the Saturday.
  •  Visiting Instructor Matt Hill Sensei (5th Dan Iwama Ryu) will take all sessions on the Sunday.
  •  Friday pm classes will be taken by Lancashire Aikikai 5th Dans.

Add the even better news to celebrate this anniversary course even better than holding the price the same as 2013 - the fees will be halved for 2014 course. This represents excellent value for money to come and celebrate with us. See poster for full details.

If you have never been, this course offers the opportunity to train intensively for 3 days, or to mix a good, relaxing weekend break with as much training as you want. Train for the whole weekend or select sessions to suit your family break. Please feel free to complement your training with the excellent facilities available on site at Ribby.

You can choose to do as much, or as little as you like. Alternatively, you can treat it as an ordinary course and come for one day.

The weekend is timed to take advantage of cheap weekend breaks at Ribby Hall and their 3 night booking slots rather than a full week. The accommodation is excellent. It is easy to self-cater or there is a good choice of places to eat.

Families can enjoy swimming, pony trekking, archery or a bit of pampering while you train. And at the end of a really good session of aikido it's great to be able to plunge into the swimming pool or relax in the Jacuzzi before meeting up again in the bar

Accommodation on the site tends to get booked up fairly quickly, book soon to avoid disappointment. There are other accommodation options with nearby hotels/Travel Lodges.

Wendy has a place available in a pre booked chalet for a male. Anyone interested please let her know ASAP. (26th January)

For people booking online for accommodation they are automatically adding an extra fee for an upgraded type of booking which includes a cancellation  insurance. THIS CAN BE REMOVED , you simply have to follow the system.

Enquiries:

The course organisers would appreciate to know provisionally if you intend to go on the course and meal - to gauge numbers. Please use email to flag your interest.

Updates will be given on Facebook & Twitter

Saturday meal menu details a adult menu (Choose 2 or 3 course meals) and a Young Person's menu for 1st March are now posted on the site. The room holds 60 and from previous communications people were asked to put there names forward means there are a limited number of places left - if everyone confirms.

Menu choices should be submitted to Wendy by 1st February.
