Mat fees range from £3 to £5 per session or some clubs offer a monthly basis instead. Some offer special pricing for your first few practices but this varies club to club. Details are provided with the individual club pages on this website. We insure everyone, via the national Governing body scheme, before they put their foot on the mat for everyone's protection and treat you as a temporary member for the first month.

Full Aikikai membership fees are not paid till towards the end of your first month with us. Once you decide to join the Association. You will pay the balance between the temporary membership and the pro-rated membership fee valid at the time you started which will be no more than £18.

Full membership is required once the temporary membership has expired because insurance is only effective when a person is in membership.

Application Forms

It would help us if you pre-complete your application form.

If you are under 18 years you must get your parent or carer to complete this form and also this second one which is required under our Child Protection Policies.

Visitors

We welcome visitors from other Associations but you will need to bring proof of current Association membership and your BAB blue slip (Governing Body). If you don't have this you can become a temporary member of the Lancashire Aikikai if you are a UK resident (or are domiciled in the UK for over 6 months).

Short term visitors to the UK, are not covered. Insurance for overseas visitors must be purchased in the country of origin, and this varies considerably. Read FAQ
